Christine Vallot, Katherine Dara, painter and ceramist

Two friends, two worlds: that of ceramics and that of drawing, the desire to create together, the curiosity to do something new for both of them. Real four-handed work, Katherine makes the supports: plates, dishes, cups, bowls and I decorate them according to my desires, my inspiration using the oxide pencil or the engobes.
Ceramics require patience and humility, keep a certain mystery and reserve many surprises. It's the joy of always having a unique object, loaded with a form of improvisation and a certain poetry.

For the Millet Barbizon Museum, I was largely inspired by the pencil sketches of Jean-Francois Millet, which appealed to me so much for their spontaneity and their tenderness.
